In terms of network capacity, it offers 11 built-in ports (a mix of 10G SFP+, 1G SFP, and 2.5G RJ-45) with the ability to expand via two PCIe slots to add 25G or 100G connections. It also supports hot-swappable dual power supplies in its 1U rack-mount chassis, has active cooling, and includes management interfaces like IPMI.
The 8300 MAX achieves around 36 Gbps of layer-3 routing, 26-27 Gbps of firewall throughput (with ~10K ACLs), and about 14-15 Gbps of IPsec VPN throughput. It’s built to handle large traffic volumes while offering high uptime and scalability.
