The sliding rail kit enables simple, safe and fast installation of the Netgate^® 8300 appliance into a standard 19-inch server rack.

Kit Includes

• One pair of steel sliding rail brackets: one left-side bracket and one right-side bracket.
• Two M4-0.7 × 6mm screws for locking the slide members to the chassis.
• Four M5-0.8 × 25mm screws for securing the system ears to the 19-inch vertical rack posts.

You Will Also Need

• Netgate 8300 Base or Netgate 8300 Max.
• A 19-inch EIA-standard four-post rack or cabinet with square mounting holes.
• A No. 2 Phillips screwdriver.

• Requires an EIA-standard four-post rack with 3/8-inch square holes at 5/8-inch spacing.
• Not compatible with vertical mounting rails that have threaded holes.
• Not compatible with 1/2-inch hole spacing.
• Please consult a qualified tradesperson when you are unsure whether the rail kit is suitable for your installation.
• Telescoping slides fit rack depths between 28 and 34 inches, measured between the inside edges of the front and rear vertical rack posts.
• Side clearance: 9.5mm.

PRO TIP

• Take a photograph of the label on the bottom of your Netgate appliance before installation. It is a good idea to keep a record of the serial number and other information shown on the label before installing the system in a server rack, as the label may be difficult to read once the appliance is mounted.
